After completing his studies at the Royal Academy for the Fine Arts in Antwerp, designer Christian Wijnants started working as an assistant for Dries van Noten. Merely three years later, in 2003, he launched his own label and was quickly awarded one prestigious prize after another. And rightly so, because his work definitely deserves recognition. By now, the label has ‘matured’. Wijnants and his team have grown to a dozen and are producing four collections per year.
High time for us to start cooperating with this talented Belgian. He is mostly known for his fresh and exciting prints, his eye for colour, and his innovative knitwear. Moreover, his affinities for nature, art, and architecture are clearly visible in the designs of the collection. Fun fact, he takes his sketch book everywhere he goes, since, he says, you never know where and when you’ll get your inspiration. Well, you keep at it Christian, because it’s clearly been working thus far.
