She had only just moved to Berlin when, over dinner with friends, the idea of starting her own brand spontaneously arose. The same week, Isabel Rotger, founder of Act. Series, was already on a plane back to Mallorca in search for suppliers. A typical case of 'just doing it', which immediately explains the name: Act.
Leather
After years of working in fashion communication, Isabel thought it was time for her own project. In 2013 she started with the traditional summer shoe from her Spanish island - the espadrille - and renewed it in such a way that you can (also) wear it in the city. Act.'s espadrilles are not made of canvas, but of high-quality leather. In addition, a lot of attention has been paid to the finish and details.
Durable
All of Act.'s shoes are handmade and the leather is dyed naturally (chromium-free). The brand puts a lot of energy into creating beautiful shoes with a conscious ethos. 'But it's not just about how we produce our shoes, it's also about how they are consumed,' says Isabel. 'We believe in timeless items that stand the test of time'. Bellamente dicho!
