Geoffrey Gillon and Lore Heyman, do these names ring a bell? Even if they don’t, you are probably already familiar with their earlier work: the label NOUS. In 2011 this Belgian duo started their own multi-brand fashion agency, focusing on innovative and exciting brands. So far so good. Yet their inner designer was not satisfied, spawning the desire for their own label. Enter Tricot POP. Founded in 2015, its collections are comprised of finely knit jumpers and cardigans, which can be worn year-round, supplemented with snug hats and warm scarfs in the winter. All items are high quality knits made from alpaca, kid mohair, and pure wools. And while the designs are best described as less is more, the colours consistently stand out. The collections are designed in Antwerp and knitted by a little old Italian company (operating from a former disco hall). The process is not a manual one but every piece is checked and finished manually before being shipped. A mix of technology and craftsmanship.
